The verification crawler
The only part of DNS Health Checker that loads web pages.
It identifies itself with this user agent:
DNSHealthChecker-Verify/1.0 (+https://dnshealthchecker.com/crawler)
- It loads a single page: the one entered when someone verifies a badge for a domain, on that domain or its www version.
- It loads that page again about every 3 days while the badge is being verified, and retries later after errors.
- It reads the page's HTML to find the badge image and the link around it. It does not follow other links, load scripts, images or styles, or submit anything.
- It follows at most five redirects, stops after 2 MB and gives up after 12 seconds.
DNS checks never load web pages. To stop these visits, remove the badge from the page; verification then ends after the next checks.
